Family Teamwork – a unique combination
John and the team have been working together over a number of years. John’s experience means you can have confidence that he has what it takes to produce the goods and this is combined with the youth of sons Sam and Max – light on their feet and with a youthful eye for detail. A unique combination.
John’s experience of helping to create major television productions with the BBC lends a unique outlook to the creation of your Wedding film. Interested in stage and television lighting from an early age, in his 20’s he achieved his aim of working on Top of the Pops (and a few other great shows such as Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder, The Two Ronnies, Victoria Wood and French and Saunders).
On moving back to family roots in Pembrokeshire in 2001 John has continued to work with the BBC, this time on a freelance basis, lighting shows such as Totally Dr Who, Crimewatch, Pobol Y Cwm, Children In Need and many others.
John has been helping to create individual wedding films alongside his sons for nearly 14 years now.

So much thought goes into your perfect wedding day – you will have planned everything down to the smallest detail and it is something you will want to remember for years to come.
A film of your day is so much more than just ‘a video’!
A film produced by Lighthouse Wedding Films will aim to capture many of those little details that you have spent so long planning. From flowers and cake to music and dancing, the team at Lighthouse will aim to capture those little details – the details that you spend so long perfecting – so that you can re-live the memories time after time.
You can’t be everywhere, so we try and capture some of the things you don’t see. And we make a point of picking out those small details that you have spent so long planning.
Your personal film will be edited to create an amazing montage of the emotion and spectacle of the day not purely a chronological record.
I booked John and Max for my wedding day after seeing how brilliantly my best friends wedding highlights video was put together. We didn’t even plan on having a videographer, so only contacted him 6 months before the wedding. John was completely accommodating and when he came round to meet us at the house to discuss the day, it felt like we’d known him for years! On the day, everyone LOVED John and Max, they were both discreet, polite and extremely helpful! John even sorted out what we were supposed to do next when I had a panic just before the ceremony! The video captures the amazing day perfectly, half of the shots, I can’t even remember seeing the two of them filming on the day! We both really appreciate all you did for us on the day, and can not recommend your business enough! Thank you so much!

The service and help that John provided leading up to and on the day of wedding was fantastic, not only did he make us feel comfortable from day one, the suggestions and tips he shared with us in other areas (when he didn't have to) was brilliant. The team went out of their way to make sure they captured every single special moment they could, and when watching both the highlights and the full video you can see they clearly did. I can't imagine it was easy given the tasks of a winter wedding, but the video captured this perfectly! I honestly didn't even notice any of the team when filming so when we received our highlights on Christmas Day it was the perfect present. I've watched the video 100 times and probably more and still get emotional.
